Start to finish mechanical Development of transmission for a Plug in Hybrid Electric Vehicle powertrain application. Start with a conventional drive transmission.
Transmission development with Electric Motor/Generator. Design of system, subsystems and components involve;
Mechanical and hydraulic (concept) design
Housing design & casting
Gears, splines, shafts and chain drive design
Calculation / simulations
Strength & Stiffness
CAD development (coordination)
BOM, specifications and Drawings
Test specifications, settings, procedure, coordination
Releases, toll gate assessments
Coordination, realisation and participating in prototyping and prototyping production line validation (incl. end of line tests)
Organising / hosting (interdisciplinary) team meetings
Typical transmission product developments such as shaft (re)design, Hydraulic system and oil pump (re)design to be compatible with EV-driving (engine shut off), chain drive to transmit EMG torque to secondary shaft, Full new housing and support design.
Design starting from proof of concept to Mule car, A, B, C and D-sample (PPAP) incl. releases.
