This year the jury once again had the honor to choose the winners from the beautiful entries of the Brandfort photo contest. A challenging task because there were many high quality photos.

Just like last year, there were two prizes to win. Two times a Polar A360 Fitness Tracker, one among the employees of Brandfort (ACE, BRACE-Automotive or BDF-Talent) and one for the best entry for participants who are not working at the Brandfort group. The jury made a selection of all entries and assessed them on creativity (30%), photographic quality (40%), use of theme (20%) and combination with text (10%).

Winner Brandfort employees

The winner of the Brandfort photo contest 2018 has become: Ruud Evers (ACE Eindhoven) with the photo 'Have a break, have a kiddy cat'. A cat is relaxing in the shade on a beautiful summer day. This photo fits very well with the theme 'leasure' regarding the jury. Technically, this picture is also well balanced. The main subject, the cat, is beautifully in focus and in the 'depth' you recognize a quiet street in the sun. In addition, all colors are well balanced so that nothing inappropriately stands out. This is why this is a worthy photo to win the holiday photo contest.

Winner externel participants

Agnieszka Kroczak has become the winner of the external participants with the photo 'Up in the sky'. Technically a very nice photo, it is very difficult to get a flying bird with the sun both sharp in the picture. The sun also provides a lot of light so that often everything that falls in the shadow is not good visible, but you can see the bottom of the seagull very well. In addition, such a flying seagull with a radiant sun gives a summer feeling to many people. Just like Agnieszka, there were more people who had submitted 2 photos. The second photo of Agnieszka 'web (site)' was also highly rated by the jury.

Honorable mention photo Kevin Snaar.

The photo 'Sunset to risk your life' is also absolutely worth to highlight. Without a doubt a beautiful holiday picture with a sunset and palm trees in the front. These palm trees provide playful vertical lines and the sunset makes for a nice combination of warm yellow / orange colors which passes through the clouds in the fresh blue color of the sky. Many people would probably stand underneath the trees to take a picture of the sunset. But by going a few steps backwards to take the phote you experience this moment in different way which makes it very interesting. There is also a story behind this picture. Kevin has had to 'risk his life' on the scooter to be on time for this picture taken in Mirissa Sri Lanka. "But that was certainly worth it."

The jury would like to thank everyone for all the beautiful contributions! The jury consisted of Marco Vitali, Jelle Cleassen and Frank Steeghs.
